FAQ

What is membership medicine?

Membership medicine, also known as concierge medicine or direct primary care (DPC), is a healthcare model where patients pay a monthly or annual fee directly to their healthcare provider. This fee covers most primary care services and often includes enhanced access to doctors, longer appointments, and a more personalized approach to healthcare. This model allows doctors to focus on patient care without the constraints and administrative burdens of traditional insurance-based practices. It aims to improve the doctor-patient relationship and provide more proactive, preventive care.

Will I save money using Membership Medicine?

While there is a membership fee, the comprehensive and preventive care provided can lead to significant savings by reducing other healthcare costs and improving overall health outcomes.

Reduced Specialist Visits: With more time and personalized attention from Dr. Milien, many of your health issues can be managed effectively without needing frequent referrals to specialists which leads to the next point.

Minimized Time Off Work: Efficient and timely appointments with no wait times mean less time away from work, saving you potential lost wages.

Predictable Costs: Membership fee with us is straightforward and covers most primary care services, eliminating unexpected medical bills and allowing you to budget more effectively.

No Insurance Hassles: By avoiding insurance companies, you save on co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses typically associated with traditional healthcare. In addition, we encourage our clients to use a high deductible plan or catastrophic insurance which can save you more money than your membership cost.

How many clients will the physician attend to?

At Precision Primary Care & Wellness, your health and well-being are our top priorities. To ensure you receive the best care, we limit our patient panel to less than 500 patients. This allows us to provide:

Little to No Wait: Ensuring timely access to care.

Same-Day or Next-Day Visits: For urgent health concerns.

Non-Rushed, 30-60 Minute Visits: Allowing ample time for thorough examinations and discussions about your health.

In comparison, a traditional practice typically manages a panel of 2,000-3,000 patients, which can lead to longer wait times and shorter appointments. By capping our patient panel, we ensure personalized, high-quality care tailored to your needs.
